Inverrary Country Club

Located in sunny Florida, Inverrary Country Club has all that you could want out of a golf club. Here you will find two outstanding courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr.. Over the years Inverrary has played host to 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments. As you are walking the course you can almost feel the golf greats who have gone before you: Jack Nicklaus, Johhny Miller, Lee Trevino, Tom Kite, Hale Irwin and Tom Weiskopf.

The legendary East Course is the signature course at Inverrary. Of the 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments played here you have the the Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic, The Inverrary Classic, The Honda Classic, the 1976 Tournament Players Championship and the LPGA Phar-Mor Classic.

On this course you will find large, rolling greens, strategically placed bunkers and lots of water. Take a misguided shot on this course and you could easily loose your ball. From the championship tees this course is over 7,112 yards. However, four different tee placements make the East Course easily playable by golfers of all levels and abilities. With pin placement becoming an issue on your second shot for every hole careful club selection is a must.

While the East Course is all about the challenges, the Championship West Course is all about the relaxation. Designed so that golfers of all skill levels will have an enjoyable time, this is the course for those who are a little rusty in their game. However, by choosing the correct set of tees, all golfers will have a great game on this course.

Starting off, this course may feel a bit easy. Not to worry though, extremely varied holes create an exciting game. Among the more memorable holes, the 8th hole is a par 3 that measures 197 yards from the back tee. An elevated green that is protected by bunkers make for some tricky approach shots. At the end of the course the 537-yard 18th holes might be one of the best holes in Florida. This par 5 sharply doglegs to the left with bunkers on the corner providing you with a perfect opportunity to loose a stroke. Once you get past the dogleg though, an open green awaits you, giving you the chance to make up for some ill-placed shots before.
